Sewer System Evaluation Surveys
Data collection technology for inspections, locating, plotting & more
Green Mountain Pipeline Services offers a variety of services utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, including manhole and other structure inspections, locating, and plotting. Our technicians use the latest GPS equipment to perform these services.
Manhole & Structure Inspections
Many sewer system deficiencies can be identified with visual or physical inspection techniques. Our expert technicians are certified by NASSCO MACP inspection standards and can perform Level 1 or Level 2 inspections.
After the data is collected in the field, we process it with sophisticated software to achieve sub-meter accuracy. In most cases, the data can be easily incorporated into our clients’ mapping databases and GIS.
Smoke & Dye Testing: A reliable way to locate “behind the curb” sources of I&I
To identify “behind the curb” sources of inflow, nontoxic smoke testing provides a reliable and economical means of locating cross connections, downspouts, and unacceptable area drain connections. Dye tracing can then further verify identified sources.
I&I Inspection: Our expert technicians can help you make informed decisions
Many sewer system deficiencies can be identified via good, old-fashioned visual or physical inspection techniques. Our expert technicians can open manholes and other available access structures to inspect and document actual conditions.
Depending on the situation, temporary plugs can be installed to further isolate and determine the relative degree of extraneous flow. Usually performed during off-peak hours, such methods provide valuable assistance to our customers in making informed decisions regarding appropriate follow up and prioritization.
